There are (26) companies practice insurance on properties, (19) companies of them practice life and health insurances in addition to properties insurance, and one foreign company practice life insurances only. These Insurance companies offer their services through insuring imported and exported goods (marine insurance), motor insurance, insurance against fire, earthquakes, theft, and other risks as well as issuing contracts of life insurances and health insurances. It is worth mentioning that there is no company in Jordan, which is specialized in Re-insurance, but the Jordanian insurance companies perform the Re-insurance amounts after deducting its retention to be covered in Arabian and Foreign Re-insurance Companies. Companies also exchange Re-insurance actions through joint operations for great risks between them.
